Sabbath service 13th of August ,2005: Ifeoluwa gave a reading of Isaiah 1 vs 10-19: it reads
vs 10;’Listen to the Lords, you leaders of ‘Sodom’,Listen to the law of our God, people of ‘Gomorrah’.
vs 11;What makes you think I want all your sacrifices? says the Lord.I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and fat of fattened cattle.I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
vs 12; when you come to worship me, who asked you to parade through my courts with all your ceremony?
vs 13; stop bringing me your meaningless gifts, the incense of your offerings disgust me!
vs 14; As for your celebrations and your annual festivals, they are a burden to me. I cannot stand them!
vs 15; When you lift up your hands in prayer, I will not look. Though you offer many prayers, I will not listen, for your hands are covered with the blood of innocent victims.
vs 16; wash yourselves and be clean! Get your sins out of my sight. Give up your evil ways.
vs 17; Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the cause of orphans. Fight for the right of widows.
vs 18; Come now ,let’s settle this says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
vs 19; if only you obey me you will have plenty to eat.
THE WORD
Essentially, you are required to LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR BECAUSE OF YOURSELF. That is what the messenger of God Ifeoluwa says. Whatever you do to or for your neighbor , you indirectly help yourself. As this scripture requires, extend love to everybody, not just family, widows, orphans, oppressed, and so on. In this, there is joy and happiness.
Love your country and neighborhood and try to make things work for you and your immediate environment. If man should disappoint you, take it as an appointment from the Lord.
If you are born in a poor environment try to see what you can do among these people , for in this there is peace.
NOTE
Ideas turn to money, lack of ideas is what makes you poor. As much as possible try and motivate others.
